ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Linus Cinnamoni, born in Lund and based in Viken, Sweden, is a contemporary artist whose works give voice to color, form and character.
Linus Cinnamoni is a Swedish contemporary artist whose vibrant, symbol-laden paintings defy traditional categories. At first glance, his work might seem to echo Pop Art or Urban Expressionism, yet it transcends such comparisons. Each piece is a visual conversation—layered, spontaneous, and deeply personal—built through a process that favors intuition over control. Symbols and figures emerge organically from his subconscious, creating a language that cannot be “read” in a literal sense but resonates universally, often reminding viewers of ancient scripts, tribal markings, or lost civilizations.
Born in Lund, Sweden, in 1982 and now based in Viken, Sweden, Cinnamoni did not follow a conventional path into the art world. Before devoting himself to painting, he pursued a career as a professional golfer, competing at an elite level. This background instilled in him a sense of precision, discipline, and resilience, qualities that now inform his art practice.
In 2019, he experienced what he describes as a creative reawakening—a moment that led him to pick up a pen and begin drawing, opening a channel to the expressive, playful, and unfiltered side of himself that had long been dormant.
Cinnamoni’s art is characterized by bold use of color, figurative characters, and layers of meticulously hand-drawn detail. He often integrates reclaimed or found materials—cracked bricks, broken objects, fragments of fabric—transforming them into carriers of new meaning. His figures, whether human or animal, are portrayed in a deliberately primitive yet strikingly modern way. There is no realism in his practice; instead, there is rawness, honesty, and an embrace of imperfection as a form of beauty.
Since committing to art full-time, his career has grown rapidly. His works are now held in private collections across Europe, North America, and the Middle East. Collectors and viewers are drawn not only to the explosive energy and joy of his paintings but also to their philosophical depth and originality. While much of contemporary art is marked by repetition and reference, Cinnamoni’s language is entirely his own: a subconscious dialogue made visible.
In recent years, his visibility has grown rapidly, largely through his strong presence on social media and his own showroom in Helsingborg, Sweden. To date, original works have been acquired almost exclusively through him directly, giving collectors a rare opportunity for a personal connection with the artist. Now, as international demand increases, he is opening up for collaborations with established galleries in key markets worldwide.
With global reach accelerating, and the scarcity of originals—Cinnamoni does not produce canvas reproductions—demand for his work is increasing among both private collectors and design professionals seeking distinctive, statement-making art.
For Linus Cinnamoni, art is not simply an aesthetic practice but a means of connection. His paintings invite viewers into a shared space of reflection, play, and discovery—an encounter that is at once timeless, universal, and deeply personal.
